The difficulty stepper changes board length and payout odds

The rules dialog tells you to collect as many carrots as possible, but the payout is printed on the lane before the rabbit moves: bet 3.00 at Easy cashed out on the lane signed 1.06x paid exactly 3.18. Carrots become coins as you pass them, yet the number never changes. That makes the real decision the difficulty stepper, which shortens the board while steepening the ladder - Hardcore runs 18 lanes against Easy's 30, opening at 1.44x instead of 1.01x - and it is the one control tied to a documented state change: each lane either leaves the stake in the balance or empties the Cash Out field to a dash. Variable volatility here is a dial you set before Play, not a surprise during the round. Cash Out stays live after every step, so the round can end on your terms or on the hand's. RTP is fixed at 95.50 and provably fair seeds are published, but no autoplay exists to act on any of it.

Rabbit Road review: four ladders, one repeated decision

All configuration happens before the first step

Every lane on the Rabbit Road board carries its multiplier on a wooden signpost before the round begins, so the return on any step is known in advance; only the position of the catching hand is not. That arrangement defines the whole build. InOut Games released this step-by-step crash game on 2025-09-09 under a Country farm skin, and it places every configurable element on the idle screen: a stake between 0.12 and 200 USD and a difficulty selector with four fixed levels. Once Play is pressed, those choices lock, and the round reduces to a single repeated decision — advance the rabbit one lane or take the Cash Out figure currently displayed. No autoplay, no bonus buy and no gamble feature compete with that loop, and even the Space-bar shortcut still demands one press per step. Configurable variation and core experience never overlap here: the variation ends exactly where the round starts.

The carrot story the payout ignores

The How to play dialog describes the goal as collecting as many carrots as possible without getting caught, and the board acts the story out: each uncrossed lane holds a planted carrot, and each crossed lane replaces it with a gold coin stamped with a carrot silhouette. The payout ignores the story. On the captured build, a 3.00 USD stake cashed on the lane marked 1.06x returned exactly 3.18 USD, the number that signpost had shown before the round began rather than a total assembled from three collected vegetables. The Wildlife cast amounts to two actors, a rabbit and a giant hand, and the carrot-to-coin swap is a shape cue readable without colour: it marks position, not value. This is where presentation and engine separate. The Progressive Multiplier is a fixed ladder read one lane at a time, and the Variable volatility listed among the features lives in the menu rather than in the round. After the first step, nothing accumulates and nothing reconfigures; only the amount that can be forfeited to the hand grows.

Shared ladders and unprinted numbers

None of this configuration is exclusive to the rabbit. The research record places Rabbit Road on the same engine as the provider's Chicken Road Race, with identical lane counts at all four levels and identical opening ladders read digit for digit, and the 1.44x, 2.21x, 3.45x, 5.53x and 9.09x Hardcore ladder appears again in Chicken Road 2.0. A player switching between these titles changes artwork, not probability structure. What the build confirms is precise: bet limits printed in the rules and confirmed by stepper stops at 0.12 and 200 USD, a printed maximum win of 20 000 USD, and a provably fair panel that publishes the next server seed as a SHA256 hash, derives each result from that seed combined with the first three bets of the round and permits verification from the bet history. What the build does not confirm is equally clear. The published RTP of 95.5 per cent appears on no captured screen; the only internal trace is a bundle constant reading 0.955, consistent with the published figure but not proof of the effective one. No multiplier ceiling is printed anywhere, and the camera never shows the top of any ladder, so the largest reachable multiplier remains undocumented. The configurable variation is genuine but narrow, and most of what cannot be configured cannot be fully inspected either.

Playing smart: bankroll and volatility

Every live round of Rabbit Road reduces to one repeated choice: Cash Out at the figure on screen or press GO into the next lane. The other two decisions, difficulty and stake, are made before PLAY and shape everything after. Each note below maps what one choice controls and what the build leaves unknown.

  1. After each lane: Cash Out or press GO

Once a round is live, this is the only remaining decision, repeated after every crossed lane. Cash Out ends the round and credits the displayed figure; GO swaps it for the next lane's higher multiplier and risks the whole stake on the hand not landing. The per-step catch probability appears nowhere in the build, so the trade cannot be sized against disclosed odds.

  2. Difficulty picks the board the whole round runs on

Chosen at the idle board via the DIFFICULTY stepper, this Variable volatility selection swaps lane count and printed ladder at once: 30 lanes from 1.01x on Easy, 18 lanes from 1.44x on Hardcore. Every stop-or-go call in the round then runs on that board. The rules state the catch chance varies by level but print no figure, and no ladder was captured to its top lane.

  3. Bet is the payout base and the amount at risk

The BET stepper accepts 0.12 to 200 USD, deducted when PLAY starts the round. Each Cash Out figure is stake times one lane's printed multiplier, so sizing is linear; a caught run forfeits the whole stake, however many lanes were cleared. The printed 20,000 USD max win starts to bind at 100x on a maximum bet; whether any ladder reaches that high is undocumented.

How to place a bet

Rabbit Road is a step-by-step crash game: a rabbit crosses garden lanes, each carrying a fixed printed multiplier. The loop is advance one lane or cash out; if the hand catches the rabbit, the stake is lost.

Set bet and difficultyEnter a stake with the BET stepper and cycle the DIFFICULTY stepper through Easy, Medium, Hard or Hardcore. Harder levels have fewer lanes but steeper multipliers. Press PLAY to deduct the bet and start.
Advance lane by lanePress GO (or Space if enabled) to move the rabbit one lane forward. Each passed lane turns its carrot into a gold coin, and CASHOUT updates to the live payout: bet times that lane's printed multiplier.
Decide: continue or cash outAfter each lane, press GO again to attempt the next lane, or press CASHOUT to end the round and collect the amount shown. Cashing out displays WIN! with the payout and credits the balance.
Or get caught and loseIf the hand reaches down and grabs the rabbit before you cash out, the round ends immediately with no payout; CASHOUT shows a dash and the stake is not returned.

Game modes

Giant hand grabs the rabbit on the 2.96x lane; cashout shows a dash, round ends with no payout.

Every garden lane prints its multiplier before the round starts, which makes Rabbit Road a step-by-step crash game: each advance refreshes the Cash Out figure, and one grabbing hand takes the stake. The cards below cover the round loop, the progressive multiplier ladder, the variable volatility levels, the shared engine and the fairness panel.

  • Base Game

A round opens idle: every lane uncrossed, the CASHOUT field a dash, the button on PLAY. The first press deducts the stake, from 0.12 to 200 USD, and flips the button to GO. Each further press steps the rabbit one lane, swaps that lane's carrot for a gold coin and refreshes the CASHOUT amount; a catching hand ends the run and the dash returns.

  • Fixed Ladder, Not Collected Carrots

The payout never accumulates from carrots, whatever the how-to-play text implies. Every lane's multiplier sits on its signpost from the first frame, and a cash-out pays stake times that one figure: measured, a 3.00 stake stopped at the 1.06x lane returned exactly 3.18. Stepping forward only swaps the CASHOUT value for the next printed number.

  • Difficulty Levels

These four levels are the variable volatility control, set before the round: Easy deals 30 beds, Medium 25, Hard 22, Hardcore 18. The harder the level, the fewer the beds and the steeper the printed ladder climbs - the opening lane pays 1.01x on Easy against 1.44x on Hardcore. Each selection swaps the whole board's signposts at once.

  • Shared Configuration

The printed ladders match Chicken Road Race digit for digit: the first five Easy lanes read 1.01x, 1.03x, 1.06x, 1.10x, 1.15x and the first five Hardcore lanes 1.44x, 2.21x, 3.45x, 5.53x, 9.09x in both, all four bed counts agree, and Chicken Road 2.0 carries the same Hardcore ladder. Moving between these titles changes the artwork only, never the arithmetic.

  • Provably Fair

This panel exposes the current client seed, rotated on every game, and the SHA256 hash of the next server seed; each result is determined by combining that server seed with the round's first three bets, and the fairness of each bet can be checked from the history table, empty in the captured demo. Sound, music and space-bar stepping toggles share the same menu.

InOut Games

Chicken Road is InOut Games' signature line, but crash mechanics dominate its output: over half the studio's catalogue in this mirror falls into that category, alongside instant-win titles, a smaller run of video slots and a handful of table games. Titles are HTML5-based, localised into more than fifteen languages and built for multiple currencies, which suits distribution through aggregation partners such as Hub88, Slotegrator and Infingame. The site and games are operated by IOGr B.V. under an Anjouan B2B licence, supplying platform and back-end services to licensed operators. Recent releases keep iterating on the crash format with layered features like level progression, variable volatility and cash-out mechanics rather than departing from it.

Our take

ProsEvery lane multiplier is printed before the round starts, so cash-out targets are planned against known values
ProsFour difficulties reshape the ladder: Easy spreads 30 lanes from 1.01x, Hardcore compresses to 18 opening at 1.44x
ProsProvably fair stack shows the next server-seed SHA256 hash up front and verifies each round from bet history
Where it falls shortRTP is printed nowhere in the build; the 95.5% figure comes from an outside catalogue and cannot be checked in play
Where it falls shortNo autoplay or auto cash-out exists, so a full Easy run means 30 manual clicks or Space presses

Rabbit Road swaps the blind rise of a curve crash for a visible ladder: each step's price sits on a signpost, and four difficulties set the steepness. That clarity and the verifiable seeds suit methodical cash-out players; the unpublished in-game RTP and click-per-step pacing narrow it further. Chicken Road Race and Chicken Road 2.0 players already know this math.

Got questions? We have answers

How is a payout calculated in Rabbit Road?

The total bet is multiplied by the fixed multiplier printed on the lane where the player cashes out: a 3.00 USD bet withdrawn on the 1.06x lane pays exactly 3.18 USD. Each lane's multiplier is printed before the round starts, and the in-game instruction to collect carrots is only thematic; carrots do not increase the payout. If the hand catches the rabbit before Cash Out, the round pays nothing.

What changes between the four difficulty levels in Rabbit Road?

The number of lanes, the chance of the hand catching the rabbit, and the steepness of the multiplier ladder. Easy runs 30 lanes starting at 1.01x; Medium 25 lanes starting at 1.08x; Hard 22 lanes starting at 1.18x; Hardcore 18 lanes starting at 1.44x and reaching 9.09x by the fifth lane. Harder levels give fewer, riskier steps toward larger multipliers.

What are the bet limits and the maximum win in Rabbit Road?

Bets run from 0.12 USD to 200 USD per round, and the maximum win is capped at 20,000 USD. Both limits are printed in the game rules, and the bet stepper stops at each end. No maximum multiplier is published in the build, so the 20,000 USD money cap is the only confirmed ceiling.

Is Rabbit Road provably fair, and how can a result be checked?

Yes. Each round result is determined from a combination of the server seed and the first 3 bets of the round. The Provably Fair panel in the menu shows the current client seed and the SHA256 hash of the next server seed before it is used, and the fairness of each settled bet can then be checked from the bet history.
